Dr. Hollberg is a professor in the Applied Physics Department. A member of SSI worked in this lab on optical tracking in the past. He is interested in precision optical methods in space applications, for example: laser interferometry between two cubesats to measure minute changes in gravitational field. This presents many of the same challenges that the OpComms team faces, but is not quite the same application as optical communication. Dr. Hollberg has lab space in End Station III.
