Gas storage

SSI gas tanks are currently stored in the Durand gas cage. For the moment we're limited to a maximum of 5 tanks. If you'd like to help manage SSI's chemical inventory:

• Request a new chemical owner account for the responsible PI/Advisor here
• Have all of the gas purchasers request a new user account here so that you are able to view and edit the inventory
• Once your account is set up you can add the 3 nitrous oxides and 2 helium tanks into your inventory to the designated space, either room 067 or 069 (9999HZ is for empty storage only)
• Ensure the inventory is accurate when making new purchases (this is closely looked at by our county inspector)
  • If you order to replace a gas in the inventory there is no need to enter it in twice, just make sure it reflects what is physically in the space
• Verify the gas inventory at least once a year in the cage and in ChemTracker by clicking “modify all to current date”
