Large labels can be printed with SSI's QL-800 label maker located in Harmony. It is capable of printing 2.4" width and any length label in red and black.

Software

To print, download the Brother P-touch Editor. This guide gives a step by step setup. Once it's set up, press the power button on the printer and plug the USB cable into your laptop, and "QL-800 (USB)" should appear as a printer option.

Restocking

Extra label rolls are located in the label maker box, stored in harmony. If you use the last roll, please notify SlackLogo.png#operations-esiii  or purchase more here. Lift the top cover, and insert the new roll through the feed, then select the scissors button to cut it to length.

Templates

The following are templates that may be useful for printing labels in the future. If you create a template worthy label, please add it to the google drive folder.

Spreadsheets

A useful features of the P-touch editor software is being able to import spreadsheets for printing multiple things quickly, such as labeling a drawer of fasteners. Drag an excel file into the bottom center region labeled "Drop database file here", and select the rows or columns you wish to print.

Smaller Labels

The QL-800 is constrained to the large tape width, so not ideal for smaller labels. For those, handheld label makers are available in the label maker box in harmony. Additionally, Lab 64 has a higher quality small label maker that can be operated by the same Brother P-touch Editor software.
