The team setting up the rocket on a pad at FAR for the first test launch of the year.

Phoenix 2020 will be SSI's first entry into the FAR1030 competition. The team is working to design and test fly SSI's first two-stage rocket, with the goal of launching to 30,000 feet at the end of the year.

Overview

Goals and Requirements=

The goal of the rocket is to successfully launch a staged rocket, capable of delivering a payload to 30,000 feet while employing as much student innovation as possible.

System Design

This is Project Phoenix's first year of trying to stage a rocket. The goal is to design a first iteration of this project that can successfully fly two powered stages.
