At one point it was jokingly suggested to use ValBal flight times (particularly record flight times) as keys for looking up Bible verses. This page summaries the results of doing so, using the book of Psalm, English Standard Version.

Pre-ValBal - record by the California Near Space Project, 57:02

Psalm 57: Let Your Glory Be over All the Earth - 57:2
I cry out to God Most High,
	to God who fulfills his purpose for me.

SSI-41, SSI's First Record, 70:10

Psalm 70: O Lord, Do Not Delay - 70:1
Make haste, O God, to deliver me!
	O Lord, make haste to help me!

SSI-47, SSI's Second Record, 79:06

Psalm 79: How Long, O Lord? - 79:6
Pour out your anger on the nations
	that do not know you,
and on the kingdoms
	that do not call upon your name!

SSI-47 landed in Canada. The only other ValBal to have landed in Canada prior (SSI-22) was photographed by the farmer who retrieved it and who refused to return it despite significant prompting. SSI-47 also landed on the day of Donald Trump's election.

SSI-52, SSI's Third Record, 88:40

Psalm 88: - I Cry Out Day and Night Before You - 88:4
I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
	I am a man who has no strength

SSI-63, SSI's Fourth Record, 121:34

Psalm 121: My Help Comes from the Lord - 121:3,4
He will not let your foot be moved;
	he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
	will neither slumber nor sleep.
