Professor Endy is a faculty member in the Stanford Bioengineering Department and the Biology Team Faculty Advisor. His lab works on various synthetic biology projects, including engineering filamentous fungi, laboratory automation using the OpenTrons robot, and building a synthetic cell. He co-founded the BioBricks Foundation, BIOFAB, Gen9, and the international Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) synthetic biology competition.
