Spin coating is used to uniformly coat a flat substrate with a substance, generally oil. The substrate is placed on the spinner with a small drop of substance in the center, and then spun at high RPMs to coat. This is useful for bio team specifically, which spin coats ETFE with fluoropel to create a hydrophobic film used in electrowetting.

How to spin coat something (jankily) for SSI: Durand has a spin coater that SSI Biology has permission to use. SOP is coming soon!
