SSI-41 was the 41st launch of SSI Balloons, and the first flight demonstration of Version 5.1 of ValBal. SSI-41 surpassed the previous world record for latex balloon flight, passing the 57 hour, 2 minute mark on June 17, 106, 20:20 UTC (13:20 PDT). The balloon ultimately landed in the northern Atlantic Ocean, setting a record final flight time of 70 hours, 10 minutes.
