During preparations for the launch of SSI-23, SSI-24, and SSI-25, a single hurried balloon managed to escape the warm embrace of SSI technicians. Thus, it quickly escaped into the open air, rising thousands of feet as SSI watched. Ultimately, this brave balloon ventured on, bereft of tracking or any possibility of return.
